Hit Reload is a newsletter about shooters. Whether that's first person corridor shooters like Doom, extraction shooters like Escape From Tarkov or even action games like Hotline Miami or Uncharted.

I'm Jake Tucker, and I've been a games journalist for over a decade. I'm most well known for my work creating NME Gaming and running TechRadar Gaming, but I've been writing about shooters for a long time. I've written about shooters for Vice, RockPaperShotgun, PC Gamer, PC Games N, Eurogamer and many more.

Now, my day job is running the PC Gaming Show (this is a video, careful) and helping with editorial direction across Future Publishing's range of brands. This is less writing, but I still have many opinions about shooters. I hope that Hit Reload will be a perfect place for me to put those opinions somewhere that fellow shooter enjoyers might enjoy.

I'm still working out the kinks and determining a reasonable interval for me to start sending the newsletter, but I'm hoping to get up to once a week eventually. If you want to get in early, you can subscribe in the meantime if you'd like to stay up to date and receive emails when new content is published. You'll never get more than one email a week.
